With 2012 right around the corner, listeners and music critics consent that 2011 marks a record-breaking year for Katy Perry! One of her most memorable achievements is her California Dreams Tour. Her 3rd album titled "Teenage Dream" was her most popular album to date with 6 great achiever singles, and was released on August 24, 2010 by Capitol Records. Her album's singles are:

Katy Perry is an 80s baby, who takes her inspiration from performers such as ABBA, and the dance, pop, and rock vibes of the era. She takes pride in her writing and production team which made her album possible, and some of those faces include Dr. Luke, Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean, Greg Wells, Benny Blanco, The-Dream, and Max Martin.

Her music is as colorful as her personality, and makes you want to dance on the floor. Her success is proven by her quantity of nominations and awards. In 2011, she won the Billboard Music Award for the Top Pop Album category, and the Juno Award for International Album of The Year. For the 2012 Grammy Awards, she is pending a nomination for Record of The Year for Firework, as well as the Best Pop Solo Performance for Firework. If "The One That Got Away" reaches the #1 spot, "Teenage Dream" would historically become the first album to produce six Hot 100 toppers on Billboard.

In 2010, Katy Perry was nominated at the Grammy Awards for Album of The Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, the Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for California Gurls, and for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Teenage Dream. She was also nominated for the American Music Awards' Favorite Pop & Rock Album. At the BRIT Awards show, she was nominated in the International Album category.

Katy Perry achieved her spot on "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011." Her stardom also became apparent at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, when she was recognized as Artist of The Year, coming in ahead of top artists such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Adele. She told her audiences, “Hi everyone at MTV! I just want to say thank you for this amazing award. To be Artist of the Year, a whole 365 days, that’s pretty cool. I wasn’t really allowed to watch MTV growing up, so this feels really validating; and I’ve had a fantastic year, a great tour, and a great run, and you guys have been so a part of it, and such a big reason why. So thank you so much! I really appreciate it!”
